Class blogs offer children a unique opportunity to be part of an online learning community. Through a class blog, children can share their work and ideas with each other, their families and the world. Children can also learn about keeping themselves and others in the class safe when using online environments.

Rachel Boyd, a teacher who also uses class blogs wrote the following list to describe some of the rich learning experiences that children can have using class blogs:
